Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and handle cash transactions with precision
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
- Assist with food safety practices including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation to meet health regulations
- Support quick service restaurant operations by managing time effectively during busy periods and ensuring timely order fulfillment
- Engage in basic math calculations for cash handling, retail math tasks, and inventory checks to support efficient restaurant management
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service or quick-service restaurants is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for seamless transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across various duties
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales upselling, and retail transactions
- Previous experience working in a café, grocery store or retail environment is a plus but not required
