Duke's is now looking for a Bid/Proposal Analyst to join the corporate office team in Elgin, IL!
In this position, you have a strong understanding of the opportunity process (bids, RFPs, RFQs) and will play a pivotal role in uncovering insights that shape our growth strategy and drive meaningful business impact. You will evaluate and recommend opportunities that fuel organizational growth and enhance organizational performance. This role involves analyzing market trends, competitor strategies, and internal data to identify actionable insights. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess potential initiatives, develop business cases, and support strategic decision-making. If you have experience in construction, engineering, government contracting, and/or utilities, that is a plus!
This is an onsite position, not remote or hybrid.
What you will do:
- Work closely with Operations, Sales and Marketing to support opportunity assessment and execution.
- Evaluate the feasibility and profitability of new opportunities including analyzing the margin/revenue.
- Analyze data trends and forecast potential outcomes associated with new opportunities.
- Manage all aspects of contract execution administration, including updating contract information within internal ERP system, overseeing the renewal process for existing agreements, and supporting price adjustments as necessary.
- Analyze bid outcomes to gain insights into the factors contributing to unsuccessful proposals, with the goal of identifying trends and areas for improvement in future opportunities, which include submitting FOIA requests and bid protests.
- Other duties as assigned to support Customer Excellence
Apply now if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field preferred
- 2 - 5 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or a related role with a strong understanding of the opportunity process (bids, RFPs, RFQs)
- Experience in construction, engineering, government contracting and/or utilities is a plus!
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with analyzing data
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic environment
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload based on business needs
- Proficiency in office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), ERP and CRM systems
- Proficiency in GovWin IQ and similar tools
