R&D Manager

• Manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs in the area of metalworking, lubrication, quenchants, and other related products
• Maintains and reports on KPIs to the Director or VP of R&D. Assists in the identification of appropriate KPI for tracking efficiency and efficacy of R&D activities.
• Develops and implements R&D procedures and techniques
• Analyzes project results and provides recommendations based on findings
• Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget
• Keeps updated with projects across product lines and identify potential synergies
• Keeps updated with newest technologies and movements of industry as a whole
• Communicates with product line managers to prioritize project work
• Other duties as assigned by the Director or VP
• Participates in project work as required
• Complete all safety and application training and maintain and encourage a safe workplace
  
  
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Experience is scientific or engineering field preferred. Without experience, training/education is recommended.
• This role will typically have 15 years experience, including education.
• Experience with instrumentation, MS Word products, SharePoint or database management software preferred.
