Du Quoin Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about resident safety, quality care, staff education, and maintaining the highest infection prevention standards in a skilled nursing environment.
Compensation
Registered Nurse (RN):
$33.00 – $35.00/hour
$0.10/hour for each year of experience (up to 20 years)
$0.75/hour for on-call responsibilities
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
$29.00 – $31.00/hour
$0.10/hour for each year of experience (up to 20 years)
$0.75/hour for on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor the facility's Infection Prevention & Control Program.
Conduct infection surveillance, reporting, and trend analysis.
Educate staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, IDPH, and facility infection control standards.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to reduce healthcare-associated infections.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys.
Provide on-call support as assigned.
Qualifications
Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
Long-term care experience preferred.
Knowledge of infection prevention principles and regulatory guidelines.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to educate staff and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
