Introduction:

DTX provides support services to Federal Agencies, one of those being NOAA’s headquarters campus in Silver Spring, MD. This position requires daily onsite presence. NOAA and DTX do offer a relaxed and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and flexible work schedules. DTX observes all the same Federal Holidays (11 holidays) as NOAA.
As a System Furniture Installer/Mover, you will work at the Facilities Support Services and the Building Management Branch of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in the National Capital Region (NCR) at the Silver Spring Metro Campus (SSMC). Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Work in close proximity with the Space Planner/Interior Designer and the Project Manager (PM) to produce quality systems furniture solutions for NOAA clients.
Perform all systems furniture installation, reconfiguration, and repair services adhering to the quality assurance plan and NOAA guidelines.
Provide expert services in systems furniture handling, installation, reconfiguration, and repairs as necessary.
Be able to interpret installation drawings, correct and adjust design deficiencies in coordination with the team
Familiarity with NOAA minimum workstations standards, and the ability to identify and take appropriate action to correct site conditions.
Ensure completion of the systems furniture installation projects, including scheduling, installation guidance, and punch list.
Be able to cut and add grommets to work surfaces if required.
Be able to cut work surfaces if a custom fit is required.
At the end of project reconfigurations, remove all excess furniture products. Performance of this task must be included in the overall project plan and must conform with all applicable Federal Government and NOAA disposal requirements including but not limited to recycling, buy-back, and/or re-purposing programs.
Perform the following tasks that will include, but are not limited to:
Workstation key and lock coordination, including installation, removal, and replacement, providing keys as requested, key management systems, managing inventory to supply requests, etc.
Installation quality control and management of on-site staging areas and inventory for installations per project.
On-site support for the installation and reconfigurations of systems furniture. The individuals will work directly with the Space Planners as well as the end-users to ensure accurate installations and reconfigurations.
Act as the primary point of contact for all installation contractors at the commencement of new projects and when issues arise.
Perform any other task assigned by the PM and the COR

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
