Four Medical Assistants
Santa Fe Indian Health Center and Satellite Clinics
Pay is $22.47 an hour plus $5.55 H and W.
Local staff only.
You will work at the Santa Fe Indian Health Center with rotation to Santa Clara, San Felipe, and Cochiti clinics as needed.
Full time. Monday through Friday.
Shifts are 8 hours with varied lunch breaks.
Period of performance is 2026 to 2031.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients.
- Support COVID testing, specimen collection and vaccine clinics.
- Assist with venipuncture, specimen prep and lab shipment.
- Support nursing visits for vaccines, medications and screenings.
- Provide direct patient care for all age groups in urgent care and outpatient settings.
- Answer patient calls and document health concerns.
- Perform point of care tests such as urinalysis, pregnancy, strep, flu and glucose.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Follow IHS policies, standards of conduct and all compliance rules.
- Complete all background forms under P.L. 101 630.
- Maintain BLS. ACLS and PALS preferred.
Qualifications
- Completion of a state approved medical assistant program.
- High school diploma. Progress toward an associate degree preferred.
- Current unrestricted MA license from any US state or territory.
- One year of MA experience.
- Current BLS from AHA. ACLS and PALS preferred.
