What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico?
Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico is searching for a Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will work closely with a designated provider by assisting in clinical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointment in a timely manner.
- Prep charts to assure that all information required for patient visit is available for the provider.
- Room patients including verifying patient information and taking vital signs
- Assist/accompany the physician during exams and medical procedures, including thyroid biopsies.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Perform basic laboratory tests.
- Administer vaccinations
- Operate electrocardiogram (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
- Clean and sterilize instruments, following OSHA safety protocol, in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years clinical experience in a medical office
- Compassionate demeanor
- Able to work in a fast-paced setting
About MANNM:
Our office is a multi-specialty, out-patient clinic employing 12-15 providers. We serve our patients in Primary Care, Cardiology, and Endocrinology. Our practice includes a Walk In Clinic and Ultrasound Lab. MANNM is a physician-owned practice, and we value having a supportive, dedicated team who care for our patients and each other.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
