Role Description The Store Manager at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse in Toledo, OH is responsible for leading day-to-day store operations to deliver an excellent guest experience and achieve sales and profitability goals. This full-time, on-site role includes overseeing staff scheduling, coaching and developing team members, and promoting a customer-focused culture on the sales floor. The Store Manager ensures visual merchandising standards, inventory accuracy, and adherence to retail loss prevention procedures. This role also involves monitoring key performance metrics, executing company initiatives, and maintaining compliance with all store policies and procedures. The Store Manager partners with cross-functional teams and regional leadership to support business objectives and uphold Designer Brands’ values.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a track record of creating positive in-store experiences.
- Proficient Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to provide constructive feedback and direction to team members.
- Store Management experience, including supervising staff, managing daily operations, and driving sales performance in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including monitoring procedures, safeguarding assets, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Previous retail leadership experience, ideally in footwear, fashion, or specialty retail.
- Ability to analyze sales reports, manage labor and expense controls, and make data-informed decisions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
