Overview:
The Senior Production and Utilities Engineer is responsible for optimizing production processes and managing plant utilities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on process improvement, energy efficiency, and compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production operations and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and optimize utilities systems (steam, water, compressed air, refrigeration, etc.) to support manufacturing processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for production and utility systems to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams on equipment reliability and performance.
- Support capital projects related to process and utility upgrades, including design, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operations staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in production and utilities engineering within chemical manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of process engineering principles, utilities systems, and energy management.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards in chemical manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Salary : $155,000 - $165,000
