This is not a tenure-based step-up role - it requires a fundamentally higher level of ownership, strategic thinking, and consistent performance across complex, high-spend areas.
The Senior Sourcing Manager owns the most sophisticated and high-value sourcing categories, often involving:
- Volatile pricing environments
- Global supplier networks
- Multi-year strategic agreements
This role establishes best practices, influences broader sourcing strategy, and provides informal leadership across the sourcing team. Consistent, above-target savings delivery over multiple years is a core expectation.

(Category ownership is assigned based on business priorities, spend concentration, and market complexity.)
Advanced Category Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute multi-year category strategies, including market analysis, cost modeling, and risk assessment
- Lead complex RFx processes, including multi-round negotiations and long-term agreements
- Negotiate strategic contracts with optimized pricing, volume commitments, and risk-sharing provisions
- Identify and execute supplier consolidation opportunities across categories
- Manage executive-level supplier relationships, including performance reviews and escalation resolution
- Mentor and coach Sourcing Managers to strengthen strategy and negotiation capabilities
- Share market insights and industry trends across the sourcing function
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex sourcing decisions
- Represent sourcing in cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Drive consistent, above-target cost savings across key categories
- Maintain rigorous, finance-aligned savings tracking methodologies
- Contribute to overall procurement performance metrics and strategic goals
- Consistently exceeds savings targets year over year
- Serves as the go-to expert for complex supplier and category challenges

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of sourcing experience with deep category expertise
- Proven track record of delivering sustained cost savings in complex categories
- Strong experience across multiple indirect spend areas
- Ability to independently manage executive-level supplier relationships
- Experience in manufacturing, CPG, or food & beverage environments
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Appian)
- Multi-site manufacturing sourcing experience
- Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, or similar)
Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
