Global Sourcing Manager - Electronics Components

An industry leading Electronics Manufacturer is seeking an experienced sourcing leader to drive global procurement strategies for electronic components and assemblies, including wire harnesses and PCBA, while leading a dynamic team of Sourcing Managers. This role requires strong leadership skills and deep expertise in supplier management, negotiations and sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration within complex manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a global sourcing team, setting clear objectives, coaching for success, and driving accountability across all activities.
• Shape and execute category strategies for electronic components and assemblies (including wire harnesses, PCBA, connectors), ensuring alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
• Establish strong supplier partnerships, negotiating agreements that deliver cost competitiveness, quality, and long-term value.
• Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives, maintaining a robust pipeline of savings projects and monitoring performance against targets.
• Oversee supplier performance management, including evaluations, improvement plans, and regular business reviews to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams to integrate sourcing decisions into product development and production planning.
• Implement risk management strategies, proactively identifying potential disruptions and developing mitigation plans.
• Leverage market intelligence and benchmarking to identify innovation opportunities and maintain competitive advantage.
• Ensure governance and reporting discipline, including contract approvals, project tracking, and accurate cost analysis for assigned categories.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of global electronics sourcing experience, 4 years of team leadership experience
• Expertise in electronics sourcing (wire harnesses, PCBA, connectors), ideally in a high mix/mid volume setting
• Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills.
• Experience working in an industrial manufacturing, ideally electrical, environment
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
• Bachelor's degree required, Strong Preference for MBA or professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP).
