Category Manager - Indirects
We are seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing across key indirect spend areas, including Facilities, MRO, and Capital Expenditures. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to drive cost optimization, improve supplier performance, and deliver long‑term value.
This is a high‑impact individual contributor role with strong visibility and the opportunity to influence sourcing decisions across the business.
Role responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted procurement partner to stakeholders across operations, engineering, facilities, and functional teams
- Develop and execute category strategies for assigned indirect spend areas
- Lead end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFP, supplier evaluation, award recommendations)
- Negotiate complex commercial terms including pricing, service levels, and contract conditions
- Manage supplier relationships and performance against KPIs and SLAs
- Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and risk‑mitigation opportunities
- Track and report key procurement metrics and project milestones
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management, ideally within indirect spend
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder influence skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
