Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the nursing department, aligning goals with organizational mission and vision
• Develop, implement, and monitor policies that ensure compliance with state-specific education laws and healthcare regulations
• Manage the departmental budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs without compromising quality
• Supervise nursing staff through effective team management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development
• Lead initiatives to improve patient care quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency across all nursing units
• Collaborate with executive leadership to shape organizational policies, clinical protocols, and educational programs
• Oversee staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage while maintaining staff satisfaction and retention
• Foster a culture of academic leadership within the nursing team by promoting continuous learning and professional growth
• Utilize expertise in instructional leadership in education to support staff training programs and curriculum development for ongoing staff education

Qualifications

• Proven experience in management within a healthcare setting
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational budget management
• Exceptional staff supervision skills with a focus on personnel management in education or healthcare settings
• Experience leading educational initiatives or instructional programs within a university or similar institution is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among diverse stakeholders
• A valid RN license with relevant certifications demonstrating expertise in healthcare administration and leadership
