POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Senior Technician, Electro-Mechanical is responsible for the overall maintenance of all manufacturing, facility, & support equipment. LOCATION: The position is based at Drink Pak’s headquarters in Santa Clarita, California. BENEFITS: The well-being of our team members is critically important to us. As part of this commitment, we offer: 100% PPO medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees, 50% for their dependents, paid by the Company A cell phone stipend 401(k) match program, pet insurance, life insurance, and more RESPONSIBILITIES Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set-up and center lining Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision Perform preventive maintenance on all production & supporting equipment Must communicate and interact well with maintenance/production/quality department employees Maintain, troubleshoot, support & repair of all production equipment and supporting equipment e.g., air compressor, coolers, material storage tanks Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix) Determines & requisitions material, parts, and equipment to be used for PM’s, repairs, installations, and stock Coordinate, and participates in scheduled and planned preventive maintenance and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on all production and supporting equipment Install, inspect, repair, and maintain the mechanical, electrical, and other related systems and equipment in all production, packaging, and supporting departments Complete all necessary documentation as described under Maintenance CMMS Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job to ensure equipment and facility uptime Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or other similar manufacturing-related specialization Minimum of 10 years of food/beverage manufacturing experience is required. Beverage filling maintenance experience is preferred Ability to program temperature controllers, Honeywell controllers, AC inverter, DC controllers, as well as PLC knowledge Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties. Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment electrically, hydraulically, pneumatically, electro-mechanical, and mechanically Ability to install, inspect, repair, and maintain the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other related systems of all production & supporting equipment in a Safe and Secure manner. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments Demonstrates adaptability by reacting appropriately to unexpected changes in situations or circumstances Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center Safety, continuous improvement and solutions driven mindset Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred OUR VALUES Our company’s culture is guided by our shared values of Speed, Intensity, and Purpose. Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 10-12 hours.
