Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director New Jersey Market Leader to spearhead our growth and success in the New Jersey Market. This role is a unique opportunity to lead transformative projects, cultivate strong client relationships, and position DRG Architects as a trusted collaborator for K-12, higher education facilities, Correctional and Justice Facilities across New Jersey. This role also provides significant opportunities for professional growth, including a clear path to achieving a Principal position within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute a growth strategy for New Jersey market.
• Serve as a thought leader, shaping DRG Architects’ approach to design.

Client Development:

• Build and maintain relationships with school districts, higher education institutions, and stakeholders.
• Lead business development efforts, including proposals and presentations.

Project Leadership:

• Oversee the design and delivery of education projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and schedules.
• Act as Principal-in-Charge for major projects, upholding quality and technical excellence.

Team Mentorship:

• Inspire, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Industry Engagement:

• Represent DRG Architects by attending industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Share thought leadership through presentations, case studies, and publications.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Licensed Architect with significant experience in K-12 and/or higher education facility design.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• 10 years of project management experience, including large-scale educational projects.
• 10 years of design team management experience, focused on K-12
• Proven success in business development and marketing within the education sector.
• Expertise in sustainable design practices and familiarity with educational facility standards.
• LEED/WELL certifications are preferred but not required.
