Activity Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree or completion of certification (or willingness to obtain with our support)
- Experience in long-term care, preferably in a supervisory role
- Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Develop care plans, monitor systems, and meet all documentation requirements
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance programs, State survey processes, and Residents’ Rights
- Supervise Activity Department personnel
- Create, plan, and implement monthly calendars and newsletters
- Follow budgetary guidelines for the department
- Develop person-centered large and small group programs, hospitality, and sensory activities
- Plan and coordinate facility events for residents and staff
- Strong computer skills and time management
