Role Description The Project Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Somerset, NJ, responsible for leading projects from concept through construction. This position oversees design development, coordinates construction documents, and manages project schedules, budgets, and consultant teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with engineers and other consultants, and managing submittals and RFIs during construction administration. The Project Architect collaborates with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure design quality, code compliance, and adherence to project goals. This role also mentors junior staff, supports sustainable design initiatives, and contributes to continuous improvement of project delivery standards.

Qualifications
- Strong architectural design and documentation skills, including experience with Architecture practice across project phases.
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools (e.g., Revit) for design, coordination, and documentation.
- Experience managing project workflows, schedules, and coordination activities, demonstrating effective Project Management capabilities.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and familiarity with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines or certification.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and tracking Submittals and related construction administration documents.
- Professional degree in Architecture and progress toward or completion of architectural licensure preferred.
- Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and technical detailing.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in education, multifamily, or public-sector projects is beneficial.
