Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices and vendor payments accurately and on time. This role also supports basic accounting tasks and helps maintain compliance with company policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and process electronic payments and checks.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Review expense reports and check requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Set up new vendors and collect W-9 forms.
• Assist with monthly credit card reconciliations.
• Help with 1099 filings and vendor tax information as needed.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable asking questions and eager to learn.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Pay: $48,000.00 per year
