Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role
The Champion Firm is looking for a detail-oriented AR/AP Specialist to handle our accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication skills are a necessity. Only applicants with experience of AR/AP will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system with proper documentation
- Prepare and schedule weekly check runs
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9 collection
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, duplicate payments, and billing disputes
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships
Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for accurately completing deposits
- Accurately record receivables, apply checks or electronic transfers to client or firm accounts
General Accounting and Other Support
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash application tasks
- Support CFO for month-end and quarter-end close
- Prepare client expense reports as needed
- Provide support with settlement disbursements
- Provide other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications Required
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an accounting system such as NetSuite or QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and client information
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass a background search
