Position Summary
The Banquet Houseman is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet rooms and event spaces to ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role plays a key part in supporting the banquet team by ensuring all event areas are clean, organized, and arranged according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, and décor
- Break down event setups efficiently and safely following completion of events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, storage rooms, and service corridors
- Assist banquet servers and managers during events as needed
- Transport equipment, furniture, and supplies between storage and event locations
- Ensure all setups meet hotel standards and guest expectations
- Respond promptly to last-minute changes or guest requests
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality, banquets, or event setup is a plus
- Ability to lift, push, or carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Good communication skills

Compensation and Benefits
