What You'll Do
- Empowering Young Minds: Lead project-based activities that foster creativity and align with the academy’s philosophy of early childhood excellence, igniting curiosity and sparking imagination in young learners.
- Creating a Sanctuary: Foster a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages independence, exploration, and a sense of belonging in every child.
- Growth Tracking: Observe and document the progress and milestones of each child’s development, tailoring your approach to meet their unique learning styles and needs.
- Foundation Building: Introduce young children to the magic of math, science, and literacy through storytelling and interactive play, while promoting physical growth and development through active movement and exploration.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work collaboratively with the Shift Manager and fellow staff to create a cohesive and high-quality environment that families trust and appreciate.
- Safety & Excellence: Ensure a safe and healthy environment, managing classroom routines and transitions with patience, empathy, and positive guidance.
- Experience: Proven track record of nurturing young children in an educational setting.
- Educational Background: Currently hold an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Professional Competencies: Proactive self-starter who demonstrates a continuous growth mindset and a commitment to process improvement.
- Essentials: First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and the ability to pass all required background clearances.
- Skill Set: Deep knowledge of child development principles and a talent for classroom management through positive guidance.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with parents, children, and colleagues.
- Heart & Soul: Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for engaging children in creative challenges.
- Shift: Consistent coverage for our 1st shift (between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM).
- Availability: Full-time or Part-time options available; may include occasional academy events outside of regular hours.
- Specialized Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of Montessori or STEAM educational frameworks, with a proven ability to adapt and excel in specialized learning environments is strongly preferred.
