Car Wash Attendant / Customer Advisor

Dream Clean Car Wash is a quickly expanding car wash chain in the Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with an incredible wash at a great price. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Car Wash Attendant / Customer Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will perform duties such as safely loading cars, greeting customers, sales, and site cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Complete all required onboarding and training programs
• Accurately process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments responsibly and securely
• Maintain awareness of current promotions, memberships, and service packages
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of products and services (product knowledge) to effectively guide and advise customers.
• Safely guide customers onto the conveyor while delivering excellent customer service
• Ensure each vehicle receives the correct services
• Monitor vehicles on the conveyor to ensure proper spacing and alignment, preventing collisions and maintaining safe operation

Customer Experience

• Serve as a frontline representative of the Dream Team, providing friendly and professional service
• Promptly and accurately greet customers using the established greeting and sales approach, and assist them in selecting the most appropriate wash or membership option.
• Answer customer questions and resolve basic concerns in a courteous manner
• Strive to achieve 100% customer satisfaction in every interaction

Sales & Memberships

• Promote and upsell wash packages, upgrades, and membership plans
• Clearly explain benefits, pricing, and features of services offered
• Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals when applicable

Facility Maintenance

• Restock supplies such as receipts, towels, or promotional materials as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Pick up litter and dispose of waste properly
• Empty trash receptacles regularly
• Clean and restock bathrooms as needed
• Ensure lawn and landscaping areas remain neat and visually appealing
• Assist with tunnel cleaning, routine maintenance, and upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment

Support Duties

• Assist team members with general site operations when needed
• Help manage vehicle flow during busy periods to ensure smooth service

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience at a car wash (preferred, but not required)
• Previous experience in customer service or retail
• Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
