What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time After School Behavior Technician position at Dragonfly Cares?
POSITION OVERVIEW
Dragonfly Cares is seeking compassionate and reliable part-time Behavior Technicians(BT) and Registered Behavior Technicians(RBT) to provide after school in-home services to children on the autism spectrum. Technicians will support children in developing communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills while creating a positive and engaging learning environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, energetic, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy, in client homes, to children following individualized treatment plans created by a supervising BCBA
- Collect and record behavioral data to track progress and guide treatment decisions
- Build strong, positive relationships with clients and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets clinical and insurance standards
- Participate in supervision and ongoing trainings to strengthen your clinical skills

- Bachelor’s degree is psychology, special education, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental delays
- Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
- Reliable transportation to client homes across Nassau and Suffolk counties
