We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our family dental practice. Hours are: Monday 11am-5pm, Tuesday 1pm-7:30/8pm, Wednesday 10-5pm and Thursday 9am-4pm, Friday 8:30am-1:30pm
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk through the door.
- Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software Dentrix, ensuring optimal patient flow.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for procedures and treatment plans.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls appropriately.
- Assist with medical and dental intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical history forms.
- Support billing processes by processing payments, submitting claims, and performing medical collection activities when necessary.
- Manage filing of dental records, medical records, and other administrative documents efficiently.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and ensure all patient needs are met promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurances.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Dexis.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines using multi-line phone systems efficiently.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude.
