We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. This role involves ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, great hand-eye coordination, high attention to detail, and a desire for excellence in everything they do.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday
8:00am-5:30pm
and occasional Fridays
Locations:
Alma, Mt. Pleasant, & Freeland
Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic procedures in a friendly, professional manner.
- Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments by handing instruments, taking notes, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Take X-rays, intraoral scans, and photographs as needed.
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances, separators, and arch wires under the orthodontist’s supervision.
- Perform adjustments, reties, and other delegated clinical tasks in compliance with state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in orthodontic software.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.
- Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
