Accounting Assistant
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. You will provide support within the Accounting and Human Resources department, handling a high volume set of tasks. You must possess effective communication skills and a high level of confidence in your abilities, as you will work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
- Work with HR and employees to track and enter time and attendance
- Work side by side with HR and assisting in recruiting; phone screening, setting up interviews, updating recruiting spreadsheet
- Communicates regularly with Human Resources, employees, and Supervisors/Managers
- Working as an entry-level accountant for payroll-related audit, payroll reports, and other related duties
- Assist with annual tax and compliance documents and year end 1099’s
- Support accounting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Accounts Payable - processing invoices, check runs and vendor management
- Accounts Receivable - billing/invoicing, deposits, and reconciliations
- Performs other accounting and finance duties as required
- Support HR, Accounting, and Sales Support as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Entry level position; minimum 2-year college or associate's degree
- 3 Years of relevant Accounting experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong analytical skills; extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities
Preferred
- Bachelor’s or equivalent 4 year degree
- Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system
- Demonstrate strong Excel skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
