POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Greeter at Downtown Container Park is responsible for leading the front-of-house Greeter team, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and organized environment for guests, while also assisting with the supervision of back-of-house operations. This position enforces park rules and the City Security Plan, coordinates staffing and scheduling, supports events and retail operations, and plays a key role in crime prevention and incident reporting. The Lead Greeter works closely with the Lead Porter to support and help oversee Porter staff and ensure the overall cleanliness, functionality, and presentation of the park.
KEY RESPONSILITIES
Team Leadership & Oversight
• Supervise, train, and mentor Greeters to ensure consistent, high-quality guest service.
• Lead daily team briefings and assign posts and responsibilities based on staffing and park needs.
• Provide ongoing feedback and support to team members, addressing performance or conduct issues promptly.
• Ensure all Greeters follow park policies, dress code, and customer service standards.
Porter Oversight
• Collaborate with the Lead Porter to help oversee the Porter team and ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and readiness of the park.
• Act as a liaison between Greeters and Porters to coordinate tasks and support park needs during events and busy periods.
• Assist in identifying facility issues or operational gaps and communicate them promptly to management and the Lead Porter.
Guest Experience & Customer Service
• Model exemplary guest service behavior and act as a role model for Greeters.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex guest concerns, resolving issues with professionalism and authority.
• Actively engage with guests during peak times to maintain a welcoming and positive park environment.
• Provide accurate information about park features, shops, dining options, and events.
Park Rules Enforcement & Safety Monitoring
• Ensure all Greeters are confidently and consistently enforcing park rules and safety protocols.
• Monitor park activity to identify potential safety or security issues, coordinating with Security and management when necessary.
• Oversee ID checks and age restrictions during curfew hours; ensure compliance with the park’s Security Plan.
• Review and approve incident reports submitted by Greeters; escalate urgent issues to management as needed.
Operations & Event Support
• Lead the execution of special activations such as the “Sunset Drum Circle,” setting the tone with high energy and guest engagement.
• Oversee Merch Store operations during assigned shifts; ensure accuracy in cash handling, POS operation, and inventory practices.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, including property walk-throughs, drawer prep, shift reports, and final inspections.
Communication & Coordination
• Act as the communication bridge between Greeters and management, reporting key observations and team needs.
• Ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed and that breaks are coordinated without compromising post coverage.
• Keep accurate headcounts of park guests and monitor crowd flow for safety and operational efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
• Accept and manage deliveries.
• Uphold and enforce all safety, grooming, and conduct standards among the Greeter team.
• Be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational success.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to:
• Stand and walk for extended periods (entire shifts, often 6–8 hours or more)
• Work in all weather conditions, including high heat, cold, wind, and rain
• Tolerate noise, cigarette smoke, and large crowds
• Interact professionally with a diverse population, including intoxicated individuals and members of the homeless community
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be able to obtain a Sheriff's Card and TAM Card
• Must be eligible and willing to become a Key Employee
• 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a guest-facing environment (hospitality, retail, or venue operations preferred)
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong familiarity with Downtown Las Vegas, its businesses, and services
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills to handle guest issues and requests
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Professional hygiene and grooming standards
• Friendly, helpful, and effective at guest communication
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
• Attend required training sessions offered by DTP.
• Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to drink alcoholic beverages.
• Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
