Job Summary
The Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) is a full-time position. The SELPA TOSA, shall provide technical, and functional supervision for the SELPA Early Start (ES) Program; provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, and planning services in collaboration with lead staff of SELPA, divisions of special education, and other primary Early Start community agencies who serve infants and toddlers with solely low incidence disabilities and/or infants and toddlers with high risk and/or severe disabilities; serve as a liaison for various councils, organizations, and other groups internally and externally countywide to accomplish common goals; conduct compliance reviews and special studies; assist in providing technical assistance to school district managers regarding Early Start programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Valid California Teaching Credential - Special Education, Pupil Personnel Services, or Single or Multiple Subject Credential • Teaching experience in the areas of Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Visual Impairment or Orientation Mobility preferred
