Hardscape Foreman / Lead Stone Mason
Downer Brothers Landscaping is looking for an experienced Hardscape Foreman / Lead Stone Mason to lead a crew and run projects from start to finish.
This is a hands-on working foreman role for someone who knows the craft, can read plans, manage the flow of a job, and lead by example in the field. We are not looking for a tender. We are looking for a true field leader who takes pride in quality, production, and team performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a hardscape crew on projects from layout through final walkthrough
- Read and interpret plans, elevations, and job details
- Build high-quality paver patios, natural stone work, retaining walls, steps, walkways, and related hardscape features
- Manage daily jobsite flow, crew direction, and production pacing
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and plate compactors safely and efficiently
- Maintain quality standards, jobsite organization, and a clean, professional work environment
- Communicate clearly with leadership about progress, challenges, and material needs
- Uphold safety standards and lead with professionalism on every site
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of hands-on experience in hardscape installation, including experience in a lead role
- Strong skills in pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, steps, patios, and site layout
- Ability to read plans and execute work accurately
- Experience running equipment safely and productively
- Strong understanding of proper hardscape construction methods and jobsite best practices
- Ability to lead a crew, hold standards, and keep jobs moving
- Reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and accountable
- Someone who can prove their skills in the field and takes real pride in craftsmanship

Compensation
