ITG Communications is hiring a Foreman in Newton, NH
Purpose: The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of field crews on construction job sites. This role ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. The Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader, providing direction to crews, supporting field operations, and maintaining project quality and timelines.
Responsibilities
• Supervise field crews performing fiber, utility, or underground construction work • Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and adjust workforce needs as required
- Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Conduct on-site inspections and quality control checks
• Report job progress, delays, and crew performance to the Project Manager • Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors on site logistics
- Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance
- Complete daily logs, timekeeping, and material usage reports
- Lead safety briefings, enforce PPE usage, and respond to field incidents
- Train and mentor new or junior crew members in proper techniques and procedures
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- 3 years of construction or utility field experience; leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of fiber, telecom, or underground construction methods and safety standards
- Strong communication and crew management skills
Exposure:
- Internal: Works closely with field teams, project managers, and operations supervisors
- External: May interface with inspectors, subcontractors, or property representatives
- Full-time presence on job sites; exposed to construction conditions and weather
Key Measures / Key Performance Indicators:
- Job site productivity and work completion rates
- Compliance with safety protocols and incident reports
- Crew attendance and time tracking accuracy
- Quality assurance and rework reduction
- Timely reporting and communication with leadership

- Operational Awareness: Understands project expectations and adjusts field execution accordingly

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in outdoor and high-activity environments
- Manual dexterity for tool handling and basic equipment operation
- Visual and auditory acuity for monitoring crews and identifying hazards
