Job Overview
Dow Rummel Village is seeking a skilled Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide exceptional, resident-centered care while supporting and mentoring our dedicated team of caregivers.
In this leadership role, you’ll oversee nightly operations, coordinate care delivery, and ensure clinical standards are met, all while helping residents Live Their Best Life with safety, dignity, and compassion.
The Responsibilities
- Lead and support nursing staff
- Respond to resident needs and assist with hands-on care as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned neighborhoods care coordination and communication.
- Assign tasks based on resident needs and staff strengths.
- Ensure all documentation, reporting, and procedures are completed accurately and timely.
- Monitor compliance with infection control, resident safety, and HIPAA standards.
- Mentor and guide team members with empathy and professionalism.
- Address concerns, emergencies, or unexpected events with calm, clinical leadership.
- Support a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented work culture.
What You’ll Bring
- Required: Current RN or LPN license in South Dakota.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 2–3 years of clinical experience; leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and lead effectively in an overnight care environment.
