Description

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking a Public Health Initiatives Coordinator to lead the Healthy Living Alliance and the Mayor's Commission for Children.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate all activities and meetings for the Mayor's Commission for Children and the Healthy Living Alliance.
  • Foster relationships with community leaders and other community health stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve priority community health and children’s issues.
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate assessments, policy and system changes to improve community and children’s health.

  • Public Health Awareness as well as an understanding of the unique challenges facing our community's youth.
  • A passion for advocating for resources, mobilizing decision-makers and driving forward initiatives that support healthy futures.
  • The ability to communicate professionally - whether you are leading a meeting, writing a report, or speaking with stakeholders.

Qualifications And Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Human Services, Social Work, Public Administration or a related field;

AND

  • Two years of responsible experience.

PREFERRED

  • Master’s Degree in a related area is a plus.

Licensing/Certification

  • Driver's license.
