Heavy Machinery Operator

Douglas Construction is seeking to hire a talented and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to facilitate in the execution of a wide variety of project components. Applicants must be licensed in RI with a valid DOT Medical Card. Experience with Bull Dozers, Front End Loaders, Excavators and Skid Steers is required.

Douglas Construction is a local family run business that has been in the construction industry since 1959. Today we specialize in commercial construction in the areas of site-work, concrete and carpentry. As a Heavy Equipment Operator you would work on various Commercial Construction duties:

• Site ground work preparation in and out of the machine
• Underground utility installation for water pipe, sewer pipe, drainage pipe
• Concrete structure ground installation
• Building foundation excavation
• Setting and maintaining grades with use of laser tools
• Material loading and processing
• Maintaining a clean and organized job site

• General construction labor tasks will be required as needed

Requirements:

• Experience in heavy equipment operation
• Good worker, positive attitude, works well with others
• Transportation to and from local job sites or our shop
