Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication repair techniques.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels to factory specifications.
- Conduct auto painting, auto glass installation, sanding, and automotive refinishing to achieve a flawless finish.
- Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, detailing, and cosmetic repairs to ensure vehicles look their best.
- Apply auto restoration techniques to revive classic or damaged vehicles with precision and care.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as auto parts installation, mechanical repairs, and general troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and equipment operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or repair shop environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal fabrication, and auto restoration processes.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and using automotive welding equipment.
- Familiarity with sanding tools, auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying, and automotive cosmetic repair methods.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and automotive parts installation equipment efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto glass replacement, and general automotive repair procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates.
