Auto Body Technician / Collision Technician/Painter

Jim Clark Auto Center in Junction City, is looking for an auto body repair technician / painter. We are a Chevrolet dealership that has been in business forty years serving the Flint hills. We are a family oriented business with more then seventy employees. We are looking for experienced body shop technicians, preferably with at least 2 years experience. Automotive Body Technician / Collision Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, repair and or replace parts as needed, prep and paint to restore car to pre accident condition.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Examine the vehicle to determine if any additional safety or service work is needed
• Advise body shop manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
• Document work performed and recommended on the repair order. Upon completion of work, return the repair order to the Service Advisor.
• Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times
• Adhere to all attendance, punctuality, and timekeeping standards

Automotive Body Technician / Collision Technician Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• I Car Certification Preferred
• Proven experience Auto Body Technician/Collision Technician
• Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must have your own tools
• Team oriented, flexible, focused on maintaining a high level of customer service!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
