Ice Cream Server / Cashier (Full-Time)
Job Summary
We’re currently looking for a full-time Ice Cream Server/Cashier to join our Double Decker Ice Cream team located at The Can Opener in Durham. This role is all about creating a fun, welcoming experience while serving high-quality ice cream, desserts, and drinks.
We’re looking for someone who brings great energy, enjoys working with people, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy events and peak hours.
Responsibilities
- Serve ice cream, desserts, and specialty menu items
- Take customer orders and operate the POS system
- Provide friendly, fast, and genuine customer service
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Assist with opening/closing duties and daily prep
- Work well with teammates and communicate clearly
- Help create a fun, positive atmosphere for guests
Qualifications
- Preferred to be 21
- Previous customer service experience preferred (but not required)
- Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to 30–40 lbs
- Positive attitude, reliable, and willing to learn
Wages & Benefits
- $16/hour guaranteed (with tips), based on experience and performance
