Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, motivated person to join our door and window showroom in Albertson, Long Island.
This is NOT a traditional receptionist/front-desk position. This is a hands-on showroom position combining customer service, sales, phones, computer work, and assisting with products in the showroom and warehouse.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers
Greet customers entering the showroom
Learn our door, window, hardware, and related product lines
Learn our sales/order-entry software
Prepare quotes and assist with customer orders
Follow up with customers and help close sales
Assist sales staff with daily showroom operations
Help receive, organize, load, and unload doors, windows, and other products
Maintain an organized showroom and work area
Perform general computer and administrative tasks as needed
What We Are Looking For
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Comfortable speaking with customers in person and over the phone
Willing and able to learn new computer software
Sales experience is helpful but not required
Construction, building-material, door/window, hardware, warehouse, or home-improvement experience is a plus
Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative
Comfortable working in both a showroom and hands-on environment
Able to safely lift and assist with moving doors, windows, and building materials as required
This position is ideal for someone who does not want to sit behind a desk all day and is interested in learning sales, building materials, and the door and window industry.
