The Showroom Sales Representative delivers exceptional in-store customer experience while driving sales and supporting daily showroom operations. Serving as the primary point of contact, you will guide walk-in and phone clients through product selections, prepare quotes, and ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This role manages steady, high-value seasonal traffic, averaging 25–30 walk-in clients per week during peak season and 10–15 clients per week during the slower months.

Requirements

• Customer Engagement: Greet customers promptly and professionally to create a welcoming showroom environment. Educate clients on our full product catalogue, including lantern posts, mailbox posts, pergolas, and fencing.
• Sales & Quoting: Prepare and present accurate quotes, close sales, and upsell when appropriate (focusing on our premium Selections Line of products).
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with outside Field Sales Consultants to schedule site visits, coordinate client communication, and assist any of their field clients who visit the showroom.
• Project Support: Pull Dig Safe tickets and ensure all proper documentation is secured prior to installation.
• Order Logistics: Process sales orders accurately and follow established procedures to ensure seamless communication with installation and delivery teams. Perform post-sale follow-ups, including thank-you communications and order updates.
• Showroom Operations: Maintain showroom cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation. Secure showroom access and manage opening/closing keys. Manage inventory for "Cash and Carry" clients.
• Inbound/Outbound Phone Sales: Answer calls to handle phone sales, provide product details, research existing client orders, and schedule site visits.
• Client Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for handling warranties, order issues, or damaged products.
• Partnership & Growth: Maintain a strong working relationship with our landlord partner, Paul’s Nursery, to preserve our shared space. Collaborate with leadership to help generate new business through local showroom events.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven track record in retail sales, customer service, or relationship building.
• Proficient computer skills; experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently.
• Professional, positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to quickly master detailed product knowledge, pricing structures, and services.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. comfortably 
• Ability to stand and walk and move around the showroom for extended periods
• Comfortable working in an active retail showroom environment
