Equipment Setup & Light Repair Technician

About the Role
We are looking for a dependable, hands‑on Setup & Light Repair Technician to join our team. This role is essential to our dealership’s success — you will be the person who ensures tractors, mowers, implements, and compact construction equipment are assembled correctly, inspected thoroughly, and ready for customers with confidence.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Setup
- Assemble new agricultural, residential, and construction equipment (tractors, zero‑turns, skid steers, implements, attachments).
- Perform pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure equipment meets manufacturer standards.
- Install accessories, options, and attachments as required.
- Stage equipment on the lot in a clean, organized manner.
Light Mechanical Repair
- Diagnose and complete basic repairs on small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, belts, blades, fluids).
- Assist senior technicians as needed on larger repairs.
- Document work performed accurately and clearly.
Quality & Safety
- Follow all manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures.
- Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Report equipment issues, parts needs, or safety concerns promptly.
Team & Customer Support
- Work closely with the service and sales teams to ensure prompt equipment delivery.
- Provide occasional customer support for basic equipment operation questions.
- Help keep the appearance and organization of the dealership lot.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude needed; prior experience with equipment, small engines, or automotive work preferred.
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and service manuals.
- Basic understanding of tools, torque specs, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
