Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrains
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret wiring diagrams and repair procedures
- Service vehicles by replacing parts, performing alignments, wheel balancing, and brake repairs
- Repair diesel engines and work with advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology for modern vehicle safety features
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to complete repairs
- Maintain detailed service records, prepare estimates for repairs, and communicate findings clearly to customers
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive automotive repair background with a focus on vehicle maintenance and diagnostics
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engines
- Experience working with schematics, automotive electrical systems, and ADAS technology
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with vehicle alignment is highly desirable
- Service technician experience demonstrating the ability to diagnose complex issues efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly and professionally
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; ongoing training in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques is advantageous
