What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Dooley's Petroleum?
This position is Part-Time 2:00pm - 10:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Availability for more hours M-F if interested.
Must be at least 18 years old.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Baker position is responsible to ensure customer satisfaction by providing fresh baked goods daily in our convenience store and maintaining the overall bakery appearance and presentation of baked products. The Baker will manage daily activities and coordinate with the Store Manager and other employees to improve bakery sales, minimize waste/loss, order and inventory products, monitor product storage, rotation, and dating. The Baker will also operate and clean all equipment, receive, unload, and stock the food items and ensure that the facility is maintained neat, clean, and safe. The Baker will follow all food safety regulations and be able to interact with customers professionally.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to process information/merchandise through computer and POS system
Ability to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers
Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentation
Ability to freely access all areas of the store
Ability to follow written instructions
Ability to operate, use and properly care for all store equipment
Ability to lift, handle or move merchandise through the store generally weighing 0-50 lbs
Ability to work varied hours/days
Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision, self-motivated
At least 18 years of age
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and judgement skills
Ability to be adaptable and flexible
Ability to lead and motivate others
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous bakery experience
Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Previous experience leading and training others
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to regularly lift 0-50 pounds
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
Ability to reach overhead repeatedly
Ability to bend/stoop/squat frequently and occasionally for extended periods of time
Exposure to outside weather conditions and walk-in freezers and coolers frequently
