Position Overview

The Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing mechanical kitchen exhaust and fire suppression projects from kickoff through completion.

This role requires an individual comfortable managing active construction environments, coordinating multiple trades, and representing Done Right Hood & Fire Safety directly with clients, contractors, and inspectors.

  • Schedule and coordinate equipment purchases, fabrication, and material procurement.
  • Manage equipment deliveries and ensure materials arrive on schedule.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including installation timelines and job durations.
  • Coordinate labor, subcontractors, and field crews to meet project milestones.
  • Monitor project costs, change orders, and profitability.
  • Communicate regularly with contractors, vendors, and customers regarding project status.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen exhaust systems, HVAC, sheet metal, mechanical contracting, or commercial construction preferred.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with estimating, project management, procurement, and scheduling.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close awarded projects.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
