Role Description
This is a full-time role located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. As an Accounting Specialist, you will manage and maintain financial records, prepare and analyze financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accounting systems, preparing journal entries, and working collaboratively to support the finance team's goals. Daily tasks will also involve financial reporting, reconciling accounts, and providing analyses to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Financial Statements preparation and analysis
- Experience with Accounting Software and Finance-related processes
- Strong Analytical Skills and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Journal Entries and Accounting principles
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards
- Knowledge of the fire safety or service industry is a plus
