This is a 1099 role based in New York, NY for a Sales Specialist. The primary responsibility is to generate new business, close deals, and grow revenue within the commercial food service and facility management sectors.
Key responsibilities include prospecting new clients, conducting outreach (following up with warm leads, cold calls, in-person visits, and networking), presenting service offerings, closing contracts, and maintaining strong ongoing relationships with clients. The role is heavily focused on pipeline development, deal conversion, and revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within restaurants, commercial kitchens, and facilities
- Conduct cold outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation to closing
- Present and sell fire safety and compliance services to decision-makers
- Develop long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and client interactions
- Collaborate with operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients
- Proven experience in sales, preferably B2B or service-based industries
- Strong closing skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
