What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper / Porter position at Dominican Village?
Dominican Village, a retirement community located in Amityville NY, is currently seeking a Full Time Housekeeper/ Porter to perform cleaning and sanitizing functions in resident common areas, Kitchen and Cafe. Experience in the housekeeping department of a facility, not an individual residence, is highly preferred.
This is an overnight cleaning position to assure the facility areas are prepared for the next day. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing and other regular cleaning functions.
Candidates must be punctual, reliable, able to follow all safety procedures, and comfortable working around seniors. Ability to speak/read/write and communicate with our residents in English is a must. Regular work schedule will be Sunday - Thursday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.
