Job Title: Research Engineer
Location: Hodges, SC
Duration: 10 months
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm

Education & Experience Required
- Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experience
- Degree requirement: Associate or Bachelor's
- Internships accepted as job experience: No
Required Skills:
- Tools quotation
- Casting scrap defects analysis & resolution
- Foundry process knowledge (no-bake process, cold box process)
- Pattern and core boxes
- Complex modeling
- Intuitive knowledge of parting lines (P/L), offsets, clearances, layout in tool build
- No-bake process and cold box process
- Using SolidCast and Creo Modeling & Flow Simulation Analysis
- Strong CAD skills (Creo preferred)
- Machining print reading and geometric tolerance (GD&T) understanding
- Casting simulation experience (SolidCast preferred)
Desired:
- CNC milling knowledge
Job Responsibilities
- Direct programmers and analysts to make changes to existing databases and database management systems
- Direct others in coding logical and physical database descriptions
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
- Review and approve database development and determine project scope and limitations
- Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems
- Implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
- Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information
- Able to work with and direct suppliers on tooling build projects

- Communicate and work well with all levels of the facility

- No foundry experience
- No tool design experience with CAD
