What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rest1 Host position at DOLPHIN HOTEL MANAGEMENT?
The primary responsibility of the Host Merchandiser is to assist the Host Manager in keeping the gift shop in tip top shape. The gift shop should at all times be stocked, rotated, inventory updated, clean an orderly. While being the merchandiser the host duties still apply so still welcoming, seat the Guest and leave them with a great first impression of the restaurant, along with proper collection of cash and charges for all retail, maintain a clean area, and giving exceptional service to all guests.
Qualifications:
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Fold Shirts, stock rotate
- Keep the gift shop up to date with the times not stagnate/ inviting
- Asist with orders as well as keeping up with inventory
- Greeting the guest with a smile and friendly hello
- Seating the guest
- Guest Service
- Monitouring entry area and restrooms for cleanliness
- Property operating the telephone
- Accurately gauging wait list times with assistance from the MOD
- Saying goodbye and thank you to all guests
- Opening side work
- Closing side work
- Thorough Knowledge of all coupons , promotions and special needs in restaurant
- Thorough knowledge of all food items including daily specials
- Assisting other departments when necessary
- Answering the phone in a timely manner
- Providing directions to guests
- Keeping the gift shop clean and orderly
- Stocking the gift shop properly
- Be in charge of the Host Stand/ Run point
