Medical Receptionist
Dr. Sam's Eye Care is a busy, patient focused eye care practice that is committed to delivering exceptional eye care and eyewear services. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and staff. We are currently seeking a new receptionist to join our fantastic team. The successful candidate is professional, reliable, self starting and is able to maintain a positive work place culture while delivering outstanding patient service. We will train the right person, though related experience is preferred.
Duties:
- Answer phones and handle the caller's needs or direct the call to the appropriate party
- Greet patients and sign them in, obtain insurance information and any other necessary demographics
- Send and receive faxes, referrals, and doctor's reports.
- Process payments, prepare or process some billing claims
- Manage the schedule
- Trouble shoot patient needs, including issues with vision, contact lenses, and glasses
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
