Job Overview
Dr. Sam’s Eye Care is a patient-focused optometry practice dedicated to providing high-quality vision and eye health services to the local community. The successful candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, motivated, and is able to maintain a positive work place culture while delivering outstanding service to our patients. We train this position in office, using various modalities, from shadowing and hands on practice to textbooks and educational videos.
Duties
- Perform patient evaluations and take detailed medical histories
- Complete preliminary eye exams, including assessing patients’ current vision and various vision symptoms
- Update glasses and contact lens prescriptions
- Troubleshoot vision issues using your best judgement and training
- Perform medical testing to help the Optometrist assess for eye disease
- Calibrate and maintain ophthalmic equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report malfunctions
- Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times and a smooth patient experience
Skills:
We have a fantastic staff at Dr. Sam's Eye Care. We are a busy practice and the ability to work well as a team makes everyone's day much smoother. Reliability is the most important quality a successful candidate can demonstrate for this position. Excellent written communication skills are also a must have as well as attention to detail.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED.
-Experience in customer service
-Reliable transportation

Pay: $27.50 - $29.00 per hour
