Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling, food safety practices, and dietary department standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about meal preparation techniques.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
